The documentation is working fine but the search doesn't work since we specified a destionation for the installation. I see that we need to rebuild the search index and I am looking for instructions on how to do that. I tried to open matlab and run buildAll but that is unrecognized. Will you please provide instructions to rebuild the search index?

You probably need to Contact Support. (That link used to be at the end of each page here, however it seems to have disappeared. This is an archived llink I copied and saved earlier.)

Hi Marci
I understand that the search is not working for you as you have specified different location for the installation. Please follow the following steps to resolve your issue-
To rebuild the search index in MATLAB documentation, you can follow these steps:
  1. Launch MATLAB on your computer.
  2. In the MATLAB command window, type `doc` and press Enter. This will open the Help Browser, which provides access to MATLAB documentation.
  3. In the Help Browser, click on "Preferences" in the toolbar at the top of the window. This will open the Preferences dialog box.
  4. Click on 'Help' from the list of options on left side of the dialog box.
  5. On the right side under 'Documentation Location', select 'Installed locally' and click apply and restart MATLAB to see the changes.
