Starting up my Mac in safe mode helped. While in safe mode, I was able to open Matlab. After that, I restarted the computer again, and Matlab was also working in normal mode.

Hi,
i am on Mac Monterey 12.2.1, M1 Max and i am using matlab2020b for over a year now. Suddenly, i can't start matlab anymore. All I can see is the small starting window. It hangs and I can not close it.
I've tried:
-restart computer
-reinstall matlab
-run from terminal
-run from applications/bin
-run from terminal with -nodesktop (it starts in terminal, but hangs after runningy any commap, eg x = 1)
-i've checked the security settings
What else can it be?
EDIT
I've tried to install 2023a, but it does't work either.

I could provide you a few more troubleshooting methods.
- Check for compatibility: Verify that your version of MATLAB (2020b) is fully compatible with Mac Monterey 12.2.1. Check the MathWorks website or contact their support to ensure compatibility.
- Reset MATLAB preferences: Sometimes, corrupted preferences can cause startup issues. Try resetting the MATLAB preferences by deleting the preferences folder. You can find it at the following location: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MathWorks/MATLAB/<version>
- Disable antivirus software: Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software running on your Mac, as they might interfere with MATLAB's startup process.
- Check system requirements: Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for running MATLAB. Verify the processor, memory, and disk space requirements.
- Check system logs: Examine the system logs to see if there are any error messages related to MATLAB. Open the "Console" application on your Mac and look for any relevant error messages.
- Contact MathWorks support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to MathWorks support directly. They can provide you with specific guidance and assistance tailored to your situation.
Remember to provide them with detailed information about your system configuration, the steps you have already taken, and any error messages you have encountered.
