In App Designer, a space after each word in TextArea creates a new line after running the gui

When running the .mlapp code for any given TextArea, there is a new line created after each space. Even in the Label portion. I can see the issue in the gray area (the none editable portion) of the Code View. The work-around is to remove the text in the property browser and add it under a StartUp function.

I have exactly the same problem for my existing apps. Can I automatically change this back for all labels ?

Hi Thuan,

I see that on entering text in the ‘value’ or ‘title’ field of the ‘Text Area’ component in ‘App Designer’, there is a newline created for every space entered.

I tried replicating the same in R2023a but could not find the behaviour being repeated. Attaching a screenshot for the MATLAB App and code view.

I suggest you update MATLAB to the latest version or share the exact reproduction steps.
