the se3 and so3 object dose not support symbolic computation. Do you have any plans to carry out this update, which is very important for the kinematics and dynamics research of robots.

Can you just use symbolic calculation on the matrix representation of elements of those groups?

It does not seem so, @Bruno
rotation = so3(magic(3))
rotation = so3
8 1 6 3 5 7 4 9 2
%Conversion to double does not change anything
y = double(rotation)
class(y)
y = so3
8 1 6 3 5 7 4 9 2
ans = 'so3'
sym(rotation)
Error using sym>tomupad
Unable to convert 'so3' to 'sym'.

Error in sym (line 273)
S.s = tomupad(x);

Thank you for your interest in the spatial math objects. Supporting symbolic inputs and outputs is something our development team is considering. Your feedback is useful and we hope to address it in an upcoming release.
