I’m trying to use ode45 to solve a for the location of a balloon. I have system of 3 second order ODEs (displacement and velocity in 3D). I’ve converted them to 6 first order ODEs and I want to solve using ODE45. The issues is that my equations depend on factors like wind velocity, temperature, pressure etc that are stored in an array. When using a 4th order runga kutta I simply found these values by looking up the values at the ballon coordinates and then using those in the equations. I’m not sure how to do this though for ODE45.

I am not certain what question you are asking.
One possibility is to see the discussion in ODE with Time-Dependent Terms to see if that does what you want.
