How can I get a table from matlab to desktop?

Just to write or export imulation date from MATLAB into external application can be attained with writetable(), e.g.:

run('table1.m');
FName = 'MY_table.xlsx';  % Define the filename and path
writetable(T, FName);
winopen(FName)

If the latex is necessary to embed then this one is a good function:
