Has Matlab 2013b and new fixed the memory leak issues in pause and delete?

You could say they were fixed but that would not explain the whole situation.
The pause "leak" was a message queuing and growth problem. All memory would be released when the code stopped running and MATLAB reached the command line. This has been fixed and only happened in specific unusual circumstances.
I don't believe the delete "leak" was a leak at all but is exactly the same issue as mentioned in the last comment posting by Jeremy on the page. MATLAB stores a string name for every function or file name seen forever as a performance and string management optimization.
