General CRC Generator - How to determine generator polynomial

5 views (last 30 days)
Hello everyone,
In my current project I have to perform a CRC check. At first I had to do this using a regular block diagram, but now I would like to use the CRC generator block provided by Matlab. Unfortunately, I don't know how to determine the polynomial from a given block diagram.
Like here in the example: How do I get the given polynomial from the diagram? (https://de.mathworks.com/help/comm/ref/generalcrcgenerator.html#)

Hi Pascal,
If you double click on the "General CRC Generator" block to get the "Block Parameters", you will find the generator polynomial.
I found this from the Parameters sections of the documentation for the block.

My question is how I can get from here:
To here:
So basically how is it possible to determine from a given blockdiagram the generator polynomial.

If you refer to the "Algorithm section" and check the algorithm for "Indirect CRC Algorithm", it has explained the steps involved in detail. There is also a diagram. I am talking about this documentation link.
