2D butterworth filter on a surface

Hello,

I need to apply lowpass/highpass filters on a surface topography. What I have in mind is to filter data from a cut-off wavelength and with a search in google I found that a sharp butterworth filter seems to fit my case. Now:

1. Is there any build in function in matlab to carry out 2D butterworth filter?

2. The phase component of the filtered data should be untouch during this process, zero-phase distorsion!
