How do I model and solve the pde for pressure distribution as given in the figure. Everything apart from pressure will be given a numerical value. I have uploaded the model, I need to find the pressure distribution on the thrust pad bearings.

How is "H" given ? As a matrix of values - evaluated on a specified r-theta - grid ?

P = pressure
r = pad radius
theta = pad sector angle
mu = Lubricant viscosity
U = tangential Velocity
H = Lubricant film thickness

Hi NS,
It would be helpful if you can attach the figure mentioned in the query. Please refer to the following post which mentions how you can attach the figure using the paper clip icon and the general best practices that you can refer to while posting a query to get a quicker response from the forum.
Additionally, you can refer to the following MathWorks documentation that gives a detailed description of how you can solve a partial differential equation(PDE) using MATLAB.
I hope this helps.
