Is Contact Forces Libray enough for lateral dynamics on a 4-wheeled vehicle model ?

Hi,
I am using Sphere to Plane contact Forces block to model contact between wheels and the road/surface of a 4-wheeled vehicle.
Is this block enough to enable all wheel forces (longitudinal, vertical, lateral) or should I think of trying the Magic Formula Tire block? I am facing a strage behaviour of the body lateral acceleration following this way. So I would like to know if the problem may come out of the contact forces library.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
The Sphere to Plane contact forces block is a more generalised block and it may not accurately capture the complex interactions involved in tire-road contact, especially for lateral and longitudinal forces. Using the Magic Formula Tire block would be a better approach as it is specifically designed to model the interaction between tires and the road. It can capture longitudinal, lateral, and vertical forces using the Magic Formula (Pacejka tire model), which provides a more comprehensive and realistic representation of tire forces.
