Initial Oscillations in Closed Loop Control Model

1 view (last 30 days)
When running my model, I see that the closed loop have an oscillation in the beginning and then sets to the reference condition. The thing is that i gave as initial conditions the equilibrium conditions, so I don't understand why do I have that oscillation before reaching the reference.

Plot the vector field, and you should be able to understand the instantaneous dynamics at each point in the phase space, which explains why the trajectory oscillates during the transient period. The oscillatory dynamics are typically indicated by the arrows (or quivers in MATLAB), arranged in the spiral and circular (or elliptical) pattern.
