How to speed up MPPT simualtion in Simscape (P&O)

Hello, I am currently working on my thesis. I am developing a Solar array with MPPT algorithm. This is the circuit I am worrking on, currently

I am providing more or less 8000W to a load, rapresented by a resistor. Everything is working fine, actually adjusting the parameters I can find voltage, current and power needed by the requirements I recived.

The problem is that now I would like to add a battery, but the simulation is very slow, like 60 seconds to simulate 10 seconds. I think this is due to the duty cycle and how I implemented the MPPT algorithm.

Are there any suggestions to speed up a simulation? I need to simulate weeks or like a month.
