Why do I receive a "Loadlibrary failed with error 87:The parameter is incorrect" message?

This happens whenever I try to open a MATLAB figure and when I click OK, MATLAB closes.

This issue occurs due to the OpenGL renderer in MATLAB. As a workaround, you may try the following options:

1. Update your graphics card drivers or roll them back if a recent graphics driver update caused the issue.
2. Start MATLAB With the "-noopengl" startup flag.
