I would like to ask if it is possible to install MATLAB as the root user on Ubuntu 20.04.01 and allow other user accounts to use it.

Additionally, all the users who will access MATLAB have their own licenses.

Yes. I've done that. Download the installation file and add "sudo" when running the installation command.

Under the section "MATLAB License Search Path" of this link, find the best way to specify the license file so all users are using their own license.
