Unable to create Blank Project in Matlab

Dear MathWorks community,
lately, I have been encountering an issue while trying to create a Black Project in Matlab on my laptop.
Whenever I try to attemp the operation, after creating the folder, Matlab gets stuck and doesn't open the project environment. In the rare case it does, the Project windows gets stuck in the "Creating Process" operation; finally, after a long time, it interrupts the operation with the error in the attached figure at the bottom regarding the inability to add files to source control. Note, however, that in the hope of resolving this issue I disabled the Source Control through Home>Environment>Preferences>General>Source Control>None and it still outputs the same error.
I have tried the procedure on two different versions of Matlab: 2022a and 2023b. On my desktop computer, which runs 2022a, the process is carried out instantly without problems; I only encounter this issue on my Laptop, which is a 2024 MSI Modern with Intel i7 and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics and 16 GB RAM. I can't graps what could the source of the problem be, since the laptop runs Matlab and Simulink perfectly fine and is also suitable for playing videogames, thus I don't think it's related to the technical limitations of the hardware, nonetheless it only happens on my laptop while the desktop runs perfectly fine.
I hope you can help me figure out and solve this problem.
Best regards,
Giovanni Campanile
