Do you have an active licence for Simulink Design Verifier ?

As per my understanding you are trying to verify compatibility for design verifier for a subsystem and facing an issue with the "Check Subsystem Compatibility" greyed out.
Firstly, while running a Compatibility check for a subsystem, please ensure the "IsAtomic" field is selected(in latest version) and for old releases convert the subsystem to atomic and then you can right click on the subsystem block and go to "Select Apps" and select "Design verifier" and the Right click on the subsystem again and choose the "Compatibility Check" button, similarly in old releases, right click on the subsystem and hover on "Design Verifier" and select "Check Subsystem Compatibility".
Here are some of the images demonstrating how to perform the subsystem compatibility check:
(In latest Release - R2025b)

(In Older Releases - R2025a)
