License clarification for modifying HDL Coder-generated HLS code for other FPGA vendors

I am using MATLAB HDL Coder to generate AMD/Intel HLS code.
I would like clarification on the licensing terms. If HDL Coder generates code, am I permitted to manually modify the generated code (for example, updating pragmas and vendor-specific syntax), or use AI-assisted tools to adapt it for HLS flows targeting FPGA vendors that are not currently supported by MathWorks?
Specifically:
  1. Can the generated HLS code be modified and translated to work with another vendor's HLS toolchain?
  2. Can the resulting design be used in a commercial product that is sold to customers?
  3. If such adaptation is permitted, can I share or distribute:
  • The translated HLS source code,
  • Scripts used to perform the translation (manual or AI-assisted),
  • The resulting FPGA design, bitstream, or hardware product?
I already have licensed copies of MATLAB and HDL Coder and am working from HDL Coder-generated examples.
Could you please clarify whether these activities are permitted under the MATLAB and HDL Coder license agreement, and whether there are any restrictions on redistribution of the translated code or associated conversion scripts?

Please contact your local MathWorks/Distributor office for questions that include non-technical aspects like license terms, as the community members here, even MathWorks staff like I am, are not making such statements in a community forum.
I am not 100% sure who needs to be involved for such a question, thus I recommend you start with the Primary Account Manager (==Sales) to qualify that. You can send me a message in case you need help to identify that person.
