How to Import Efficiency Map Data from Motor-CAD
Show older comments
Dear Matlab support team, I am trying to obtain the resultant efficiency curve of an Electric-Drive and I have found this example: https://es.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2025a/sps/ug/import-efficiency-map-motorcad.html.
Which already includes a data file with all the information related with the efficiency, speed, torque and so on. How have you obtained that file? From a real experiment? How can I apply this to my specific motor?
Thank you in advance

Hello Marc,
The efficiency map data used in the example is obtained by simulating a drive cycle in Motor-CAD, as described in the documentation.
For your specific motor, you can create or import the motor model in Motor-CAD, run the desired drive cycle simulation, and generate the corresponding efficiency map data. The data can then be imported into MATLAB using the workflow demonstrated in the example.
