Installing MATLAB R2015b win64 freezes at 44% while "Installing MATLAB 8.6"

MATLAB installation freezes at 44%. I'm downloading MATLAB with my student license and then with one minor problem everything proceeds until the installation get stuck.
The minor problem is that since I miss some program all components listed will not be able to be installed. I can then choose to go online and fix this but the link never works. Choosing to proceed anyway, everything seems fine until the installation reaches 44% when nothing happens.
Why? What can I do?

I had a problem this morning with the installer downloading itself and then doing nothing else. I solved that by rebooting my laptop. Installation (Commercial license with several toolboxes) then proceeded uneventfully afterwards. I downloaded and installed everything.
If I remember correctly, the installer is very robust, so you don’t have to re-download everything you have already downloaded.

Sometimes that happens - I think due to internet traffic or something. When it's happened to me before (like in the middle of the day the day after a new release, just like you're trying to do now), I just try again later at a less busy time and it works. Otherwise, see the FAQ: http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#During_installation.2C_the_installer_crashes.2C_hangs.2C_gives_an_error_message.2C_does_not_authenticate_your_license.2C_or_otherwise_does_finish_installing_correctly.
