You will need to talk to Mathworks about this. The only description of the error I can seem to find is "Invalid parameter".
Mathworks offers free support for all installation issues.

It is difficult to find information about that error in connection with MATLAB.
I find a description of it with regards to a different program,
which says
The ‘FLEXnet Licensing error:-42,298’ message occurs when the host ID and physical address registered in the license are different from the host ID and physical address of the PC that runs RecurDyn.
I cannot seem to find much else about the error at this time, and it is not certain that for MATLAB it would have exactly the same cause as for RecurDyn.
