Can ModelSim Altera Starter Edition be used for HDL cosimulation?

4 views (last 30 days)
I have downloaded and installed Quartus II 14.0 along with ModelSim(Altera Starter Edition 10.1e). I have MATLAB R2015a and I want to verify my HDL code generated through HDL coder using Modelsim Altera Starter Edition. However, when I tried to connect with ModelSim, I received an error that FLI is not enabled in this version of ModelSim. Is it because of ModelSim starter edition version? Is Altera ModelSim starter edition equivalent to Model Sim SE?

No, HDL Verifier generally requires one of the versions of ModelSim or Questa that is sold by Mentor Graphics. The HDL Verifier online documentation lists the supported versions of ModelSim or Questa at http://www.mathworks.com/help/hdlverifier/gs/supported-eda-tools.html.
