License Manager error -25

My MATLAB R2015b suddenly stopped working throwing following error... I am running a network license from my department, linux version.. I could not find any relevant documentation, any help would be appreciated.

License checkout failed. License Manager Error -25 This version of MATLAB is newer than the version of the license.dat file and/or license manager on the server machine.
