plotting slow in R2015b compared to R2013b

I run the same code in R2013b and R2015b.
The code plots many points.
In 13b it takes 0.43 seconds, in 15b 4.80.
What's happening? How to solve this?

There is an issue in the way markers are plotted in the newer MATLAB Graphics system. When working with large dataset please use the '.' marker which is known to be the fastest and keep a smaller marker size when possible.
This issue is fixed on MATLAB R2016a.
The following is the execution time on MATLAB R2015b with '.' marker:
>> gpuTest
Elapsed time is 0.400551 seconds.
