I want to create a figure with two GUI's. There's three different cases the user can choose from - which I want to use a drop down menu for. When the user has chosen a case, he can decide between two scenarios, and here I want to use a checkbox. What is the easiest way of implementing this? My idea was to have the callback function for the checkbox inside the switch (I use a switch for the three cases) but that obviously didn't work. Help much appreciated!

kyrrsec - please clarify how the two GUIs are used. Does one have the dropdown and the other the checkbox? Where is the switch? How does this relate to a GUI inside another GUI. You need to provide more information.

Create the gui via code, in the callback function of the dropdown menu.
OR
Use GUIDE and turn the visibility of all controls to off. then, turn the right controls visible in the callback function.
