How to increase the matlab workspace memory?

I have a 32 bit machine with MATLAB version R2015a. The default memory allocation for MATLAB is 2GB. How can I increase the MATLAB workspace memory within the machine RAM limit of 4GB in Windows 7 OS? I have tried the 3GB switch method for windows memory partitioning. Any alternative method?
