Is it possible to install the 2010 version on 64-bit windows? Otherwise I am afraid I will have to spend another hundred dollars, which, as a student, is expensive. My old computer crashed, and I can only download my old 2010 version of MATLAB. Thanks!

My understanding is that your student license should entitle you to run on any of the OSs supported in your release (but only two systems at a time.)

Note: since that time (2012) the restriction for Student Version became that activation is permitted on only one system at a time, which is also the case for the Home license.

Which version are you trying to install? The first version of MATLAB that offically supported Windows 10 was R2015a. The first version of MATLAB that supported 64 bits was R2006a.
If you are trying to run a version between R2006a and R2014b on Windows 10, you might need to configure compatibility mode https://www.lifewire.com/run-older-programs-with-windows-10-compatibility-mode-4587064
