Find Difference or thickness between 2 stl files.

I am working with the head dicom slices and am trying to get the thickness of the skin. For this, I extracted the skin and bone and formed the STL's of both skin and bone. Now, I want to find the distance between each face/triangle in the bone stl to the perpendicular face/triangle in the skin stl, i.e., I want to calculate the thickness or distance between the bone and skin. Is there any possible way to do this. Any lead in doing this is appreciated.!
