Print UIAxes to file
Show older comments
Hi all,
I use the new feature AppDesigner to build a small GUI for my application where I want to plot some stuff:
hold(app.UIAxes, 'on');
plot(app.UIAxes, A);
plot(app.UIAxes, B);
hold(app.UIAxes, 'off');
Now I want to print these plots into a file with this command:
print('test', '-dpng', '-r300');
This produces this error:
Functionality not supported with figures created with the uifigure function. For more information, see Graphics Support in App Designer.
In the suggested document you can find this line:
UI figures support only a subset of the properties that traditional figures support. For example, UI figures do not support properties for printing, saving, callback execution, or custom mouse and keyboard interaction. For a full list of supported properties, see UI Figure (App Designer) Properties.
Nevertheless, does anybody have any idea on how to print to a file?
Thanks, Dominic

UIAxes still cannot be printed from app designer. A workaround is to move the content to an external figure which can be printed.
Instructions on how to move the content of UIAxes to a new figure can be found here
