Can you compile a bare bones file? E.g.,
#include "mex.h"
void mexFunction(int nlhs, mxArray *plhs[], int nrhs, mxArray *prhs[]){
}
If so, maybe something in your other files is clobbering something in the mex header files. Try moving the #include "mex.h" to the front of the file.
