Which toolboxes are recommended for neuroscience?

I will use SPM for analysing fMRI data, and buy MATLAB. Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox was recommended. So I want to know other toolboxes of MATLAB that are needed for neuroscience.

I have seen Neuoscientists doing a lot of image processing work - so the Image Processing Toolbox maybe something.

I know scientists in that area who provided software for hospitals who do not have MATLAB, so creating the application with MATLAB Comiler could be intersting.

Last not least many applications are time consuming to run and potentially could be sped up with Parallel Computing Toolbox.
