Strange Characters in .m files.

Hi all

Recently I have got some .m files which are not mine. In the cods there are some comments about the codes instead of ordinary English letters I have some strange characters like this: %%%%¶ÀÁ¢ÔËÐеĵڼ¸´Î I think the original language is Chines but in my computer it has been changed to this strange style. Is any one who can help me in case to change these words to English or even chinese because after that I can translate it to English ? Thanks in advance.

Possibly if you change your locale to one of the Chinese ones.

If you were to open the file in something like Word or OpenOffice then you might be able to switch the character set interpretation until you one that looks good.

I opened the .m file with office word andthe I was able to see the chinese words. now I can simply translate them to English.
