Hello! My name is Sebastian, I'm currently using MATLAB R2016b with an academic license on a Linux computer, specifically Elementary OS Loki . I want to know if there is any way to enable this key without having to change the keyboard layout. My computer's keyboard layout is Spanish(Latin America). Thanks

MATLAB is not going to be receiving the raw keycodes, so by the time the key press reaches MATLAB it is too late to do anything about it.
As you are on Linux you might be able to use X's xmodmap

That works for any other software, but on MATLAB it doesn't
