I am trying to count brant geese in aerial photos to estimate density. I can isolate brant in Photoshop using the 'Other/Maximum' filter. I have tried using MatLab IPT to accomplish the same effect with poor results. Any suggestions generally?

blobMeasurements = regionprops(labeledImage, originalImage, 'all');
