Generalised Hough transform in detecting arbitrary shape object on the lunar surface

I am doing a project on detecting craters on the lunar surface. I have read my scientific literature online. I feel that generalized hough transform would best suit for this kind of project can anyone help me out in programming a source code using generalized hough transform.
