The Magic Formula block in Driveline is excellent, but only caters to the longitudinal forces/acceleration of the tire. I understand Driveline is primarily for modeling powertrains, but is there any block which could model the lateral dynamics? If not, could you suggest some way in which I can emulate it? I need lateral forces to model a torque vectoring 4WD vehicle.

Hi Surojit,
I suggest you check out this file on MATLAB Central File Exchange. There, a more sophisticated tire model is used. The model requires Delft-Tyre software from TNO Automotive to run, which can be requested from www.delft-tyre.com.
Is that helpful?
Cheers Christoph

I have recently uploaded a toolbox into the Mathworks File exchange that can be useful to you. It contains not only magic formula 6.1.2 equations but also a Simulink block that runs magic formula from a TIR file.

Hello, I'm working on a topic about longitudinal dynamics of electric vehicles, can you help me? I thank you very much!
