I am using MATLAB 2014a, when I want to copy a fig figure to word or powerpoint, it doesn't work. Also, this process will use up all my physical memory and then MATLAB shows error "out of memory". I am sure I had enough memory in my laptop, it is 16G ram, win7 professional 64bit. I also reboot my laptop before this copy process. The only thing is I connect a monitor to my laptop and the matlab figure I wanted to copy is in an external hard drive.
Would you please tell me if you have any comment?

I copy&paste diagrams from Figures to Word all the time.

I cannot envision exactly what you are trying. Why do you mention the HD?

Hi, Per:
Thank you for the replying. I am exactly doing what you showed in the screen shot, and after I click "copy figure", then my laptop becomes slow and later, error "out of memory" shows in MATLAB command window.... I got it fixed by trying this in version 2016a.

click on "File" , then "Save as", then any. I prefer "png" or "emf" format for Word.
