The device is an Accelerograph, like a Seismograph but it registers acceleration.

what do you get of your device?
a paper roll with printed graph?
a file with the data?
can you get us a file with the readings? it would be much appreciated.
It hasn't got to be a whole week of recordings, just a fragment if too long so we can start with something other than guessing.

rec; %Accelerogram
PGA = max(abs(rec));
where: "rec" is a vector with the Accelerogram trace
