What is the instruction to calculate mean squared error of two images?

when I am writing
disp(['MSE ' measerr(CoverImg,stegImg)])
the result is 3. it is error because it must be btw 0 and 1. how to solve it?

measerr can return mean squared error, but it does so as the second output.
[~, MSE] = measerr(CoverImg,stegImg);
fprintf('MSE: %.5g\n', MSE)
