License checkout as different user

Hello,

Is there a method of checking out a license from the license server using a different user account?

I have a computer which is not on a domain, so I login with a local account. But I need to checkout the license using a domain account.

I tried using runas.exe to launch MATLAB as the domain user, but it is failing for a reason I haven't been able to track down yet.

I'd like to find a solution I can implement in MATLAB as opposed to the OS.

Michael, beside I agree contacting installation support is best, I wonder what the use case is. Especially, I can think of situations where this does not meet the license agreement, as well as situations that are in line with it.

Let me speculate: This is a university concurrent license. And you need to run MATLAB on a lab machine outside the university. That machine has internet, but you cannot VPN, right?

Close, I'm on site but my workstation is not on the domain because I chose to run it that way for unrelated reasons. The license manager is being adjusted and the new rules will not allow machine accounts to checkout licenses, only domain accounts.

Most likely my solution will be to run MATLAB on a separate PC which I have access to.
