imagesc hide one axis

It is possible to display axes with imagesc but only in one direction no both axis y and x only x

If you are using R2015b or later (I think it is) then,
ax = gca;
imagesc(YourImage, 'Parent', ax);
ax.YAxis.Visible = 'off';
