can i use the simulink linear analysis tool to do the analysis of a Permanent Magnet Machine?

Im trying to do a vector control for a permanent magnet machine but i cant tune the PID with the auto tune. I was wondering if i can use the linear analysis tool to linearize the model and auto tune the PID.

is it possible? how?

PID Tuner by default relies on exact linearization to obtain a linear representation of a Simulink model at a desired operating point. If you have discontinuities in your mode such as PWM to control the motor, the exact linearization will not be able to linearize the model. In this case you can use either frequency response estimation or use simulation-based system identification approach .
