Encodings of Unicode Character 'JUPITER' (U+2643)

I am trying to encode a symbol for the planet Jupiter, but it's not working. here is the 4 digit number for jupiter = 2643. the code works for other symbols but not for Jupiter. Example code that works for other symbols: var1 = ['M_',char(8364)];

char(hex2dec('2643'))
Unicode U+ format is followed by hex digits, not by decimal digits.
