I am trying to run a .exe that was created in MATLAB (not sure which version). When I try to open the .exe, I receive the following error message:
"The program can't start because mclmcrrt711.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I have tried downloading and installing the latest MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR), as well as the MCR that I think was used when the program was compiled.
Does the "mclmcrrt711.dll" mean that the program was created with MCR 7.11? If so, do I need to have MCR 7.11 installed to run this application? Any ideas or potential solutions are appreciated. Thanks!

Where can I download this version of the MCR? I have only been able to find links to download the latest MCR? Thanks.

Hi Owen.
Did you create the application, or did you get the executable from someone else? The person who compiled the application should be able to provide you with the MCR.

I don't have any contact with the application developer. I was given an MCR that I was told would allow the application to run, but it is apparently the wrong MCR version. The MCR I was given is version 7.14, but when I run the application, it seems to be looking for an older version (7.11), which I concluded from the fact that it says mclmcrrt711.dll is missing.
Does MATLAB have the ability to create installers for applications that include the version of the MCR required to run the application?
