Wanted MATLAB compatible with windows8/10 64-bit OS.

I have installed MATLABr2012 on win 8 64-bit OS, it is installed completely but, when i try to launch the application it shows the runtime error and exit. kindly help me regarding this problem. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried running as administrator? I'm running R2012b and R2017a just fine on Windows 10 64 bit, and if I did anything it would only be that.

If that doesn't solve your problem, I would get in touch with Mathworks support (see the contac us link at the top of this page).

Two other remarks: you should always copy complete error messages here, and you need to think about why you want R2012a or R2012b. They are getting old now, some functions I have used resulted in a five-fold speed increase if run on R2017a. There may of course be legitimate reasons to use an old release, but generally it is best to use a new one, especially if compatibility with an OS is an issue.
