how i use the function iegetfile

hello everybody. I need help. I make a function in which I ask a user to select the text file to treat using the 'uigetfile', the problem I is not how it works. I want the user select the file then I read it and I make changes that I record in another file. Can someone help me please. here is an example of what I could do. {fid = fopen('essai1.txt','r+'); X = fread(fid); frewind(fid); fwrite(fid,X); fclose(fid);}

Please read "help uigetfile" and "doc uigetfile". Further examples can be found in this forum.
What did you try with uigetfile already? What is your specific question?

my problem is I want to ask the user to select the file, once selected the file I want to read the file or load the data and then made my treatment Register the result in another file that the function returns.
but unfortunately I am unable to do so.
