control of piezo actuator in Simulink Real-Time

1 view (last 30 days)
I'm using piezo actuator (e.g. P-876 DuraAct) of Physik Instrumente to excite turbine's blades. Can the piezo be controlled with Simulink Real Time (PID-Tuner tool)? Which Interface (between Matalb/Simulink and hardware)should be used to control the structure with PID-Tuner in Simulink Real-Time?

Do you already have a real-time target machine with the required I/O channels to interface to the piezo actuator?
The PID Controller can be used with Simulink Real-Time, and you can tune the PID parameters during real-time execution, e.g. using External mode or custom GUI. However, the PID Tuner App cannot be used for tuning the controller while running on the target machine.

Thanks!
Do you mean with target computer a machine like speedgoat for example?. The piezo actuator is steered by a card (e.g. E-413 DuraAct). We want now to control the piezos via Simulink Real-Time. You mean so, that the control can't be done automatically with PID-Tuner, but manually by using a defined GUI to adjust the different PID-parameters?
