How to plot separate scripts into one plot

If I have two Matlab scripts, for example "apple.m" and "ball.m" that plot with the same axes (just different data), etc. how can I plot them on the same plot? Thank you.

Much of the time, you can just run the first one, then command
hold on
and then run the second one.
This will not always work; when it does not work, then typically it is necessary to modify the code.
