Trying to read MAT file with C program but I am getting stuck in linker with the following problem:
"C:\Elliott\! HPS\HPS Performance Model\MATFILE_Reader\libMatlabDataArray.dll : fatal error LNK1107: invalid or corrupt file: cannot read at 0x310"

I see that you are referencing the libMatlabDataArray.dll from a custom location rather than using the one that is being shipped with MATLAB.
The recommended way is to use the dll from the installed MATLAB directory rather than copying into a custom location as there might be certain dependent dll's that libMatlabDataArray.dll is dependent on.
See the below MATLAB documentation link for more information on building applications that uses MATLAB Data arrays:

My specific issue is resolved but I could not use the files in the MatLab install directory tree because the program I am writing (to read the MATFILE) must run on machines without MatLab installed.
