How to surf a specific contour ?

3 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I wonder if I can surf not only a rectangular area with "surf" (like using "meshgrid",...) but also an specific area like my .mat file. I tried to write a script to do so, but I thought there is maybe a simple way, maybe a function, to surf things like that. At the end I want also extrude it and use it as a 3D object. but first it would be enough if I could surf my area in the image.

Without your code definitely you won't get an answer.

For an example, see: how to convert 2D graph to 3D? (link). (Scroll down to the second plot figure.)

I want to create with "surf" not a "mesh". Also for simple geometries like an airfoil I can create a surface. But thanks for the information!

As always, my pleasure.
Just substitute surf for mesh. The calling syntax for both functions are the same.
